Hi, I'm Kara Coleen.
I'm a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Los Angeles, serving Southern California and destinations worldwide. Photography isn't just my job; it's the way I see the world—beautiful, emotional, and worth remembering. I've spent over a decade documenting people's most meaningful moments, and I truly love what I do. I welcome clients from all cultures, all bodies, and all forms of love, creating a space where you feel seen, celebrated, and completely yourself in front of the camera.
When I'm not shooting, you'll probably find me chasing light in a new city, experimenting with film stocks, or hanging with my nieces—my favorite little humans and a constant reminder of how fast time moves. I also love sharing my life through my writing; it's always been a creative outlet that keeps me grounded and inspired. My most recent piece of writing was even published in the LA Times.
